It has been almost 3 years for me and there has been healing, but it is a slightly different scenario. Acceptance I believe is the biggest hurdle. I just feel like I am stuck in a waiting pattern and wondering how to move forward now without feeling guilty if that makes sense?

We are exactly the same. Went through a motherfucker of a heartbreak, and yes, you are absolutely right. Cold turkey is the only useful solution.
